Man Cave “Relationships” Panel at the Brooklyn Tabernacle
Living single isn’t so easy. I shared my thoughts and experiences as a single Christian living in NY. Here’s what I said about being single and dating in my 30s:
1️⃣ Lists: “I think lists are a good thing. They are simply a statement of your values and the qualities you want in a partner. But over time, with maturity, your list should change. I went from having a list filled with physical attributes and material things to one filled with character traits.” #maturity
2️⃣ Marriage: “It’s a goal for sure but it’s not my only one. Being healthy, whole, and mature while pursuing God-ordained goals is my highest priority.” #goals
3️⃣ Being pursued: “I know what it feels like to be in a space or a season when no one is asking you out. You can feel unworthy, unattractive or start believing some other lie about yourself. Reflecting on it now, I wasn’t overlooked or undervalued, I was hidden.” [Psalm 119:114]
